Vanity Fur Services

We believe in giving you -the customer - what you what you want when you come to Vanity Fur. However, we do have one very important grrrrrround rule. The amount of time and effort you put into keeping your dog’s coat healthy will directly determine how much coat we can leave on your dog when he visits us. That means that if you don’t regularly brush your dog, then we can’t send him home with a nice long silky coat. Dematting can be a painful and unpleasant experience for your dog so if you want him left long – you know what you have to do.

Free Brush Out Between Grooms for Prefurred Clients

We offer a complimentary brush out between grooms service to our Prefurred Clients, in order to maintain the condition of their coat and prevent matting. This helps ensure that each full groom is then able to be performed to the length you wish. This is particularly helpful for those breeds such as Bichon Frises, Cavishons, Labradoodles etc who are prone to matting. We do ask however that this is utilised on a fair usage basis, so only when you are booked in for another groom within a maximum of 8 weeks since the last one.

Puppy’s First Groom

Once your puppy has had all their vaccinations, typically around the 12 week point, they are ready to be introduced to the grooming studio. The sooner you familiarise your puppy with being groomed, the easier and more pleasant the experience will be for him. If your puppy doesn’t yet need a groom or even a bath, but you would like to get him used to the grooming studio and see that it is not a place to dread coming to, then why not bring him in to meet us and get used to the smells, what it feels like to sit up on the table, get brushed out etc.

Please Note

All grooms are charged based on breed and size. Coat condition may also affect the price of your dog’s groom particularly if there is severe matting and requires extra time, or if there is an infestation of fleas that needs to be treated. After initial consultation however we will let you know the cost of your dog’s groom before we begin, so there will be no hidden or unexpected charges. We endeavour to charge a fair price for the work involved in each individual dog and please remember as a registered storefront business we are subject to 23% VAT on all grooms we perform. Some of the other groomers you have visited in the past may charge less as they have lower overheads, perhaps operating from a home business set-up. We created Vanity Fur with quality, not quantity in mind, in order to create a luxury experience for you and your pooch, so please understand this if it appears that we charge slightly more than other groomers you have been to.
